Abstract
Over the past decade, we have seen a technological boom in the field of artificial intelligence. From the emergence of Siri on our iPhones, to the creation of Watson, a computer created by IBM to answer questions posed in natural language that went on to win Jeopardy! against two of the best contestants formerly on the show. Further developments are seen in Amazon's Alexa program which acts as a personal assistant aiding in simple tasks such as scheduling and basic question answering. Elon Musk has pioneered a new use of artificial intelligence, focused on creating a digital agent that can learn similarly to humans starting with simple Atari games being able to take things it experiences in the past and applying those things to situations it faces in the future. This Perspective addresses the next step, assessing the pros and cons of using this technology in the corporate world.
